Hey guys. Just got back from my brother in laws and my nephew was excited as all get out cause he gets to go hunting this year. My brother in law picked him up a .22 for birds and rabbits but they somehow seemed to have misplaced the magazine. Anyone know where I can get a magazine without having to drive over 2 hours for a $20-40 part? I'd like to get the gun ready so my nephew doesn't have to hunt with a 12 gauge   .
It's a Cooey (Winchester) model 64A .22 cal semi auto. Thanks guys!

just wondering if your gun has had a conversion kit installed for newer clip/mag. where is the magazine release located at rear of where clip would be put in gun or at front of where clip would fit in gun? I hope its in the front this would mean its a newer style. you can buy these anywhere. I have this style. It,s near impossible to locate an old style as they have been not made for years and where made of type of plastic and didnt last great. foxrip

forgot to add to my above post, you can purchase a conversion kit for your cooey 64a that allows it to take newer clip should it be old style. these do require fitting and you would have to get your gunsmith to install.they are not very expensive. foxrip

I didn't pay too close attention to it but I'm pretty sure it's the older style. I'll have to verify then it looks like I'm on the lookout for a good gunsmith in the area. I've been looking for the guy who owned the Powder Keg Gun Shop in Mckerrow but it looks like he's gone now. He was in Massey on the left when you first came in from the East but he's not there anymore either.

Thanks for the info!

what you have in pic.is mag. for newer style, what is known as a 64b . this mag. will fit lakefield 64b and savage as well .you will need to find an old style plastic 64a mag. or get a conversion kit to upgrade your 64a to take the metal mag. you have, note the kit comes with 1 new mag. as I stated in earlier posts the plastic mags. are like hens teeth to find in good working cond.I will get price on kit for you monday. foxrip
