Hey Shotgun,
I hear ya on those old lever's for the deep bush. I used to love my 30-30 hunting the cedar swamps in NB. Took a couple deer with it too, and they never ran more than 20yds.

If you don't find one from somebody online, here are a couple sites that usually have a lot of them used. Unfortunately, nothing too cheap as those levers seem to have increased in price over the last 10 years.

Ross at the Gun Dealer seems to have a couple cheap older ones in rougher shape, one for $200. He's also got a couple Savage 99 lever 300savage if that's something that's of interest and a pump 30-30. If you do consider going with The Gun Dealer to get a gun, send me a PM. I'll give you some more details about the guy.

Big Thanks to Tom! He set me up with a nice deal on a cute little 32sp in 94 win. He even met me half way, wich was a good 1 hour+ drive for the both of us! Thanks again Tom and thanks to Canadian Trapper!
