I am doing some tanning with a mix of alum, salt and washing soda. Is there any difference between starting with a fleshed green pelt or a fleshed and dry boarded pelt? |

Starting from a green state will produce a better finished tan, in my opinion. If you start from a dried stage you have to rehydrate it first. |
