Most of us like to keep our recipes secrete but I don't mind sharing some basic ones. We don't want to put the lure makers out of business.

Here is one of my favourites. :D

ground beaver castor! :P

Sooooooo, you want a good lure. Well this is the lure I use for for Lynx and I think its great:

Rot lynx livers in a jar all summer. Then take a pint of this rotted liver and add six drops of aniseed, six drops of Valerian, a small bit of powdered Catnip and six drops of lynx urine. Throw in about five tablespoonsful of powdered lynx droppings and one finely chopped beaver castor and mix well.

humm... lure making is not just mixed some ingrediants in a bottle and go.You must know not just HOW but more WHY you do it , and the two most important question is WHEN and WHERE use it. Yes you can take many rats or beaver with mint teeth paste or castorum mixed with anis, but the real question to know is HOW much ignored your set or refusal by associated this commun scent used by too much trapper. Many ingrediants mixed togther can have reverse effect on critter :D , and some ingrediant under 0°C have zero effect and finaly waste of time and money.
Sure i,m talk like a lure maker here  but all lure maker have try and lost much money just for want try to find the right receipt for have succes first. Some receipt find by luck and other ones is hard time of working. Why they want give away freely here????
The most important in good lure is not what's YOURSELF SMELL when you open the cap BUT WHAT'S ANIMAL REACTION when you apply this lure at the set!
8$/bottle is not so expensive if your harvest increase by double year after year 8)
