Nicely done Dan, especially now that I can read and post....

A thread for "new trappers' would be nice, as well as a general bull$(Stupid me, bad word. I didn't see the "Keep it clean" rule.) thread maybe called "in the cabin" or "around the wood stove"

Other forums have used 'on the porch' or "around the table' but I'm a fan of creating my own titles and not copying others....

Post subject:  Time Limit on Posts

Don't you think there should be a time limit on posts? I just joined this forum and have been reading things that were posted in Feb.2005 and nothing has been added in 2 years.

Maybe delete all posts over 6 months or over a year old.

Just one man's opinion.

bctrapper,

If space were an issue, the forums would be pruned on a regular basis. However, it is not a problem at this point. Even though some posts are from 2 years ago, they are still "New" to those who haven't read them before. I, as I'm sure many other trappers do, have a pile of trapping magazines, publications etc dating back many years. I still read and re-read them from time to time and each time, I always seem to find little tidbits of information that I can use. The forums can be and are used the same way. Other trapping forums have saved posts and simply archived them but they are still there to read. Unfortunately, time constraints keep me from maintaining the forum as much as I'd like at present, it is a battle just to keep the spam and AR posters off it.

Hopefully, when I get a little free time, I can get an archive section set up.

Danny

Well said Ranger,

I've also reviewed some of the older stuff on occasion and still find it useful. Your efforts in maintaining the forum are greatly appreciated, and I think I can say this for all of us.
