I have a few kit beaver that wont bring very much so I thought it might be a good opportunity to try hooping them. I cut the ears out of one just like they recommend doing at the auction house. The other one I havent fleshed yet and I'm wondering about leaving the ears on it. My question is if I leave the ears on the beaver will they tan up soft like the pelt or will they stay rock hard like when the pelt is dried on a board? |

If you leave the ears on you will have to remove the cartilage or the hair on the ears may all slip off. What will be the end use ? Hoop and sell, home craft, sell as tanned fur ? |
