I harvested this 190 lb boar on Oct 8th 2013. Added him to the wall Dec 8th . Taxidermy completed by myself. Not my first 3/4 bear I have mounted. I modified the form from a closed mouth ,1/2 mount which was straight out of the wall to an open mouth 3/4 angle wall mount. Was a fun project and well was the rock habitat build.

I missed out this season for taxidermy. Had 2 outfitters that wanted to use me for all their clients (Sweds and Norwegians) trophies . I didn't have any bears on hand as they were all done and returned . Now I will have a mount they can view. Hopefully it will pay off as another hunter I did 3 rugs for seen the mount and said " next season"...... Only time will tell. |
