Is it illegal to own a bear trap with teeth in Ontario? I know its illegal to set but do you have to reder it inoperable to own it? |

I have heard this rumor before and as far as I know it is Not illegal to own a bear trap anywhere in Canada, although it is now illegal to use or set a bear trap anywhere regardless, and cutting the teeth off serves no purpose other than to ruin the value as a collectible! there are collectors right across the country and in every province and I have NEVER heard of anyone losing a Bear trap for being illegal. if a Fish cop try,s this on you , he may be trying to steal your trap! |
